It is important for us to be able to provide access to our high-quality services, even in these unprecedented times. We understand that not all our patients can visit our practice currently, so we have decided to introduce a new solution – Telehealth Appointments.

About our Telehealth service

Telehealth Appointment is a virtual calling service that will enable you to have a consultation and receive treatment over a video conference. You can access this service from the comfort of your home.
Below, find some examples of when an online consultation can be applicable and is very helpful:
  • Providing you with pain management strategies if you are experiencing acute or chronic pain;
  • Offering consultation and advice in case of injury and post-injury rehabilitation;
  • Creating a comprehensive exercise program comprising of stretching and strengthening exercises.
Remember, you can still have access to our highly skilled and trained professionals, even if you need to stay at home.

Is it as effective as Telehealth consultations

There is lots of evidence that shows that physiotherapy via telehealth is just as effective as face-to-face consultations. Many components of a telehealth consultation are no different than a face-to-face appointment. The only thing different from a telehealth appointment from your standard face-to-face is that it’s a digital consultation.

It is safe, effective and easy to use. It is convenient and can be done in the comfort and privacy of your home, and It is currently funded by Medicare and many private health funds available to you. want to achieve from the consultation. you should be given a clear explanation of your condition. you will receive a clear and personalised plan for how to treat/manage it. your care will be in line with the latest physiotherapy knowledge and evidence, the same as you would receive in a clinic appointment.

What happens after my appointment booking?

Once you have booked your telehealth appointment through puchpass with your chosen time slot, you will receive an e-mail with a zoom link & instructions. (This needs to be adjusted accordingly to the new system)

What do do i need for my appointment ?

You will need a Zoom account, a secure internet connection …..

Do you need a doctors referral?

A doctor’s referral is NOT necessary to see a physiotherapist unless claimed through workers comp, Medicare, veterans, and motor vehicle injuries. When you submit an inquiry through our booking system, you will be required to submit any relevant medicare information if you are booking in as a medicare client. If you are a private health client, you’ll not require any documents for submissions upon booking.

What to wear to your appointment?

Telehealth appointments are like standard appointments at Greenwood Physio and should be treated as such in the same standard. You should be dress how you would normally be dressed in your day-to-day life. The main thing to focus on is to be comfortable and appropriate.
